Last Chance Sale Happening Now!
My all-time favorite home decorating products are on sale NOW! I love them so much that after six years of being a loyal customer I became an independent distributor in 2004. That may not sound like much to most but if I didn't stand behind these products, Phancy Design would not be selling them!
The NEW 2011 catalogue is being released tomorrow so it's your time to save 25% OFF the 2010 discontinued product.
I have to warn you. These products are for those who insist on buying quality items with a no questions asked 60-day money back guarantee. And you must love pretty things. I insist :o)
My personal weakness is the candles. Extremely long burning times, endless scent and no wasted wax. Say goodbye to crooked pillars, drippy dinner candles and pools of unburned wax. This just doesn't happen here.
And fear not, there are not just Holiday items and scents on sale. It's any of the items not being featured in the new 2011 catalogue.
Phancy often features these great products when we stage or design homes and the feedback has been wonderful! Treat yourself, get a head start on your decor plans or just sit back and enjoy. We all deserve it!
This sale ends on December 31st, 2010. Enjoy!
Ask me about discounts on large or corporate orders. Save even more!

Great Holiday Tips From Style At Home Magazine...
The real estate world's art of staging is a skill worth cultivating this holiday season. Unlike redecorating, staging is all about making small, low-effort changes to your home, ensuring maximum impact for the minimum amount of work. Follow Style at Home's essential holiday tweaking tips and your home will acquire a warm, welcoming, guest-ready feel in no time!
1 Purchase simple holiday greenery arrangements and embellish them yourself for a unique touch.
2 Pot up and begin forcing bulbs like amaryllis and paper whites six to eight weeks before Christmas.
3 Have your best table linens professionally cleaned.
4 Install night lights in hallways and guest bathrooms so that when friends and family come to stay with you, they can find their way in the dark.
5 Give yourself a warm reception by adding a timer to a lamp in your entry or another front room so that it's lit up when you come home from work or running errands.
6 Buy new napkin rings for your holiday table.
7 If your dining chair upholstery is dated or stained, have chairs re-covered or opt for slipcovers.
8 Book professional service providers for tasks such as carpet cleaning, chimney sweeping and maybe even putting up strings of outdoor Christmas lights.
9 Replace chipper or cracked serviceware or add a new vegetable dish or platter to your collection.
10 Get folding luggage racks for your guest rooms.
11 Warm up the living room by layering floorcoverings. Add an area rug over broadloom, or a smaller Persian carpet over a large sisal or seagrass rug.
12 Save yourself the DIY effort and have a carpenter install crown moulding in the dining room.
13 Paint or wallpaper your powder room.
14 Buy new welcome mats for all doorways and add a boot scraper outside your most-often-used entrance.
15 Brighten up a dark corner with a new lamp.
16 Replace dated-looking window treatments like balloon valances or metal miniblinds with tailored valances, Roman blinds or drapery side panels.
17 Stock up on candles. You'll need tea lights, white and coloured tapers, and pillar candles in a few different sizes.
18 Move your artwork around; frame and hang all the pictures you've been meaning to display.
19 Clean chandeliers and pendant lights.
20 Create a natural home fragrance by placing a few orange slices, some cloves and a cinnamon stick into a saucepan with some water, and letting it simmer on the stove for about 15 minutes before company arrives.

Low Cost, High Glam Ideas For Renters
We're always told we shouldn't invest in our homes if we're renting. I say, "PSHAW"! Ownership is not for everyone and who says that renting is a bad thing? Not everyone wants to own their property, has the means to own property, or wants to deal with the responsibilities of ownership.
If you plan on staying somewhere long term, it becomes a very inexpensive alternative.
I knew a woman who has lived in her apartment for over 25 years. A single gal, with a spacious two bedroom apartment with a fully functional kitchen, separate dining room and a decent sized living room. Let me tell you something... Her monthly rent is less than most people's monthly car payment. No joke.
I know, I know, you think she's throwing money out the window but she's happy! She never has to cut the grass, shovel snow, make repairs...for some, it works!
Low Cost, High Glam For Your Rental
Paint: Nothing changes the mood of a room like paint! Express yourself and make it your own. Basic apartment beige is only tolerable for so long. Most landlords will allow you to paint classic, timeless colors so why not go for it?

Lighting: No one says you are stuck with the overhead lighting that comes with your apartment. There are inexpensive alternatives out there! A chandelier for the dining room or master bedroom, track lighting in your kitchen...most landlords will happily agree to change the lighting for you. Just ask! If they won't do it for you for free, ask a friend. Make sure you hang onto the original lighting so you can put it back in should you decide to move.
Cupboards: Uh huh. You know what I'm talking about. Those aged, dated, ugly dark brown cupboards that come in some rentals. Are you stuck with them? Probably not. Speak to landlord and see what you can do. A can of paint can be magical! Add some quarter round trim or moulding and go from drap to fab! Change the hardware!Wallpaper, removable vinyl papers...just a few ideas! Look, see...
The wonders of paint...
More punch! Wallpaper, in small doses, can turn a plain wall into a spectacular accent wall or focal point in your room.
Window Treatments: Lush, floor length window treatments add glamour at everyday prices. What a difference the proper treatments make!
So you see renters, high glam looks can ideed be accomplished at low cost prices. Want to see more or need assistance with your space? Contact us at Phancy Design. We can help you get more from your rental!

Add Some Ooomph This Year!
I am the 1st to admit I can be a Scrooge. Although this year I vowed to tone down my grumblings.
I figured all it might take was a new decorating project to rev my engine. Can't help it, I'm always decorating, it's in my bones. Never more happy than when I'm re-arranging furniture, painting a room, scoring a great deal on throw cushions or adding some oomph.
Never lacking inspiration I have scoured the shops, both online and in person and have found my favorites for the Holidays. For me it's all about "ooomph". Now I am sure the traditionalists in my home (and yours) will be doing some grumbling of their own, but hey, I can't always be the grumbler.
Here are some of my faves and where you can purchase them;
Ok, I'm not done.
My love of decorating brings me to my next addiction. Candlelight. The look, the smell, the glow, the warmth...are you feeling the love too?
Did you know that eveyone looks good under candle light? True fact. It's the softest and most soothing light there is. It's impossible to look bad. Trust me and try it. Ever host a dinner or light up a room using ONLY candle light? It's pure bliss. Now I am very fussy about my candles. Not just any candle will do.
Quality is key. Here are my favorites this season...
